Vintage Jewelry: Hard to Leave Behind

It’s no secret that I love vintage jewelry! A huge source of my inspiration comes from all things Vintage. About 10 years ago, I started collecting jewelry from my travels and other really special things from back in the day. I even traded in my engagement ring (after I was divorced of course), for a beautiful pair of art deco earrings.

One of the wonderful things about summer in NYC is getting out of the city on the weekends. This weekend, I was invited by my friends Katrine and Roald to visit their vacation rental in a small town just outside of Hudson, NY called Livingston.

We spent the weekend dodging the rain, eating gorgeous, organic European-Style meals, observing some interesting modern art and perusing the vintage and antique shops around town.

Although I wasn’t expecting to be shopping this weekend, I came home with some incredible finds (and a few that I had to leave behind for a rainy day).

This stunning piece was purchased at Hudson vintage. It dates circa the 1960’s. I have worn it both days that I have owned it.

I adore long necklaces and I picked up this cool, scrolly jade piece from a street vendor. I wore it today. Love!

I had to stop somewhere…however I am still thinking about this piece. I snapped a pic of this amazing Native American Zulu stunner just so I can visualize owning it.
