Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined. ~Henry David Thoreau
Have you ever felt like you are caught in the middle of the eye of the perfect storm? That feeling can be a variety of emotions including elation, exhilaration, anxiety and overwhelm.
Over the past few years, I have been evolving in ways that I personally never expected. I decided to shut down Tracy Matthews Designs. I started teaching more yoga (then more recently teaching a little less). My new business started to take off and I feel the most fulfilled that I ever have designing and working with clients. Unexpectedly I started mentoring designers and others that have crossed my path.
When I was a young designer, I had mentor and I didn’t realize it at the time. My instructor at Loyola Marymount University, Sue Dorman, was my first mentor. She really planted the seed for me to become a designer.
One of my favorite things about teaching yoga is encouraging my students to be where they are while pushing themselves beyond what they believed possible. Part of the huge Transformation is this sensation of expanding and moving beyond what you believe is possible.
If you told me 5 years ago that I would be launching an online school to teach jewelry designers how to run a business, I would have thought you were crazy! I also never would have guesses that I would have been interviewed or be giving people advice.
Well, transformation in pursuit of passion and dreams is a powerful thing. Take a leap. You might just find yourself right where you need to be.
How are you facilitating transformation in your life? I would love to hear in the comments below
