Perfecting the Crow Pose

In continuing my Yoga “How To” series I have a brief tutorial for the Crow Pose. The Crow Pose is one of the first arm balance poses you will learn. It may seem hard but it really isn’t! Plus, you will look really cool doing it!

Let me know how you did in the comments! Was it hard or easy? Share this post with all you yoga friends by clicking on those cute little social media buttons just below.

Okay – this is helpful and I watched it twice and tried it a few times AGAIN. This is the hardest pose for me right now. I thought it was about arm strength and was only slightly relieved when you said it’s more about core strength – of which I have vast room for improvement. When I go through this sequence I can only get my knees to rest about half way up my arms and it looks to me like your knees are being placed a lot higher closer to your arm pit. Is that part of the key? Any chance you could give more description on the pre-crow pose – where some of us hang out until the core and upper body are strong enough to bring this to a balance? Thank you. Love the videos.

      Jennifer!

thanks so much for your comment. I’ll keep the set up in mind when I am creating more vids and teaching crow pose in class.

      Namaste, Tracy

I’ve been doing yoga for about 6 months now, and I just haven’t been able to perfect this pose. Your instructions really helped! Thank you so much!!
