Style Rockstars: The Edgiest Jewelry of the 2013 Grammys

As you all know by now, I love awards season. Style watching is always prime, and the celebs of the music world bring out the big guns for the Grammys. Whereas the Oscars are all about Hollywood glam, the Grammys can get a little bit edgier – a little bit rock n’ roll. So, in honor of rock royalty, I’m handing out awards for edgiest jewelry fashion this year on the Grammys Red Carpet.

Most Mod: Beyoncé Knowles

Beyoncé Knowles

Queen Bey has been making a lot of bold choices lately. Despite any ridiculous scandals (come on, it was cold out!), she’s been on a roll. This super-mod Red Carpet outfit is no exception. Miss Knowles topped off her art-deco ensemble with a wide geometric bangle. Even if you don’t like the style, there’s no denying Bey knows how to dress her lines!

Most Woman-in-Charge: Jeannie Mai

Most Woman-in-Charge: Jeannie Mai

Fashion expert Jeannie Mai oozed rock and roll with her gold tie necklace and golf glove rings to match. Paired with a fitted jacket and killer heels, I’d be surprised if she wasn’t asked to front at least one band walking down that carpet.

Most Goth-chic: Lizzy Hale

Halestorm’s self-proclaimed “Rock Banshee” Lizzy Hale translated the rock staple of leather and chains into an elegant Red Carpet ensemble. Her simple black dress provided the perfect canvas on which to drape her magnificent mess of metal. I just wonder if she consulted her masseuse before stepping out!

Most Glam Mash-up: Jessica Biel

Not generally known for wilder style choices, I was happy to see Jessica Biel in these enormous statement earrings. The bold Lorraine Schewatx creations span the glittery spectrum combining platinum, diamond, emerald, amethyst and black jade. Wow! Who would’ve thought that such different gems could work together? Rock on, Jessica!

Most Expensive: Carrie Underwood

Most Expensive: Carrie Underwood

Okay, so this classic diamond necklace is not exactly “edgy” or “rock and roll,” but it’s certainly worth a mention. Carrie’s Jonathon Arndt necklace is one of the most expensive pieces of jewelry to ever grace the Red Carpet. With 381 carats of oval, pear, marquise and round diamonds, it totals $31 million. Walking around with that much bling is enough to make anyone edgy!

So there you have it, my picks for edgiest Grammys jewelry in 2013. It was no easy pick! Now that my rock side is satisfied, I’m looking forward to all that classic Oscar glam!

Loving the mod, sophisticated look Beyonce rocks in her black and white color-block dress. However, you can’t underestimate the beauty of her accessories. Loving that geometric-inspired cuff she is wearing.
